Open Position: Cantonese Next Gen Director

Job Description

The Cantonese Next-Gen Ministry Director is responsible for creating and developing the Cantonese Congregation’s next-generation ministry through relational outreach and evangelism to Cantonese-speaking or bilingual college students and young adults. 

Responsibilities:

• Build and lead the next-generation ministry for the Cantonese congregation, with a focus on college and young adult engagement.

• Facilitate small groups and discipleship gatherings that connect faith with real-life decisions.

• Support college graduates’ transition to career life.

• Develop outreach strategies to connect with unchurched young adults and college students.

• Use creative approaches to engage with the next generation.

Qualifications:

• Formal seminary training required.

• Experience working with younger generations.

• Strong relational, organizational, and leadership skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Fluency in Cantonese (spoken and written) and English is required; Mandarin is a plus.

• Experience in church ministry, volunteer coordination, or event planning preferred.

• Mature believer aligned with Sunset Church’s mission and values.

• Agrees with the church’s Statement of Faith and Sunset Church’s Code.
