Livestream Discontinuation FAQ

After a lot of prayer and discussion, the leadership has decided to stop our live stream as of August 2025. We will not be closing our YouTube channel, but only discontinuing our English Sunday livestreams because we believe it will:

  1. Give us greater freedom to share about our cross-cultural partners

    • Since launching the live stream, we have had to limit how we speak about the people we support overseas in order to protect their safety.

  2. Allow us to better support our volunteers

    • Running the live stream takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work. Removing it will ease the burden on our existing volunteers and create more accessible opportunities for others to serve.

In addition to these efforts, we understand that there are those who are physically unable to attend services in person because of health concerns. Because we value and understand the importance of community, if you're a covenant member in this situation, please reach out to our pastors or elders—we would appreciate the opportunity to connect with you and pray for you personally.

Thank you again for your faithful presence and support. We are grateful to walk with you as we pursue Christ together.

  • Yes. While we are ending our livestream services, sermon recordings (video and audio) will still be available online. Sermon recordings are typically posted early in the week following Sunday’s service. We appreciate your patience as we continue to make them accessible as quickly as possible. You’ll be able to watch them on our YouTube channel or listen via the podcast platforms Spotify and Apple.

  • No. This decision is limited to the English congregation. The Cantonese livestream will continue to broadcast their Sunday service.

  • Yes, the sermons will still be available on the podcast platforms Spotify and Apple.

  • Sharing specifics about our supported cross-cultural partners is primarily done outside the sermon.

  • We understand that this change will impact some members of our congregation, and we want to reassure you that, in keeping with our church constitution, this decision does not require a formal vote. Even so, we remain committed to making sermons available online for later viewing, ensuring that God's Word remains accessible to all.

  • This option was considered, but found that making the information available online at all would potentially be too risky to our cross cultural workers.

  • We value and understand the importance of community, and would appreciate the opportunity to live that out with you. We ask that any covenant member who is unable to join in person, please contact the pastors and elders so that they might come to you to pray for you and your situation.

  • Our decision to no longer support the livestream is not out of our convenience—it comes from a desire to care well for our church family. We believe that following Jesus happens best in community, not just through watching from afar. If you’re in a season where attending in person isn’t possible, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our pastors and elders would love to connect, pray with you, and support you however we can.

  • One of the challenges we face in recruiting members who are able to serve as part of our liturgy team (e.g., scripture readers, emcees, mission moment advocates) is the fear of having themselves recorded and posted online. The same applies to recruiting qualified musicians and singers to our worship team. Removing this component will increase our volunteer pool and make it more accessible to individuals who desire to serve.
