2026 Sunset Youth Hoops Registration
Thank you for being interested in joining Sunset Youth Hoops, a summer sports ministry of Sunset Church. We are a faith-based sports program that not only develops basketball skills and game experience, but also helps build character, faith, and teamwork in every player.
We also encourage families who do not currently have a home church to learn more about Sunset Church and our ministries. During practices and games, teams will participate in fellowship time designed to encourage spiritual growth and team connection. Attendance at team fellowship is mandatory for all players.
This Summer, we will be hosting our own Summer Basketball Mini-League and 4-Sessions Basketball Clinic (PreK-1st ONLY). See below for more information on both programs.

Summer Basketball Mini-League:
This summer, Sunset Church will host its First Inaugural Mini-League, which will include three practices, followed by four regular-season games and one postseason game, a total of 8 weeks. All of the practices and games will take place on Sundays at the following dates:
Schedule:
Practices: May 17, May 31, June 7 (May 24 is Memorial Day. Hence, no practice)
Games: June 14, June 21, June 28, July 5, July 12 (Post-Season)
League Season-Ending Dinner: July 19 (@ Sunset Church) - TBD
Divisions:
We will have the following divisions
(Note: Grade is based on the 2025-2026 school year. Each division will have 32 spots available ONLY. Once the division has been filled, a waitlist will be formed.)
Little League Division (K/1st - 2nd Grade)
Practices and games will be from 1 - 2:30 PM*
Basketball Ball Size: 5
Basketball Rim Height: 8 feet or 10 feet rim **
This league is primarily designed for 1st–2nd grade players, and may also include some Kindergarten players who have previously participated in clinics or have some training in playing basketball and learned the fundamentals of dribbling and passing.
Rising League Division (3-5th Grade)
Practices and games will be held at: 2:40 - 4:10 PM*
Basketball Ball Size: 6
Basketball Rim Height: 10 feet
Big League Division (6-8th Grade)
Practices and games will be held at: 4:20 - 6:00 PM*
Basketball Ball Size: 7
Basketball Rim Height: 10 feet
* All times are subject to change, based on the finalized gym availabilities and resources.
** We will determine the height of the rim.
Team Player Registration Fee: $200 per player
Note: Registration for Summer Team ends on April 25, 2026, or until all the spots have been filled for each division.
Summer Basketball Clinic (PreK - 1st ONLY):
It is a 4-session clinic over the Summer. The clinic will cover a range of basketball skills to help promote training on foundational skills (dribbling, footwork, shooting), teamwork, and strength/conditioning. The clinic is suitable, starting at K - 1st grade.
We will have a maximum capacity of 15 players for registration.

Clinic session will take place on: July 12, July 19*, July 26, August 2
