Life rarely offers us still waters for long. Whether we find ourselves navigating transitions, caregiving, loss, grief, or simply the quiet ache of unmet expectations, we often ask: "Who am I in all of this?" or  "Where is God in the middle of it?"

Join us for a special afternoon of connection and encouragement as we hear from women in our community who are learning to anchor their identity in Christ—in the midst of real, lived challenges. Through stories, Scripture, and shared reflection, we’ll explore how Christ remains steady, present, and faithful, even when life feels uncertain. Come and be reminded that God meets us not only at the mountaintops or after the dust settles, but right in the midst of it all.

Note: Light refreshments will be provided, and if you'd like to bring snacks to share, please do!

We will only have our 9AM service, and will not have our 11AM service.

Alpha Pregnancy Center (APC) supports moms and families throughout the entire pregnancy journey and after birth. During the month of August, Sunset will be holding a diaper drive to support APC. We are looking for the following donations:

• Diaper Sizes: 6, 7, 3T-4T, 4T-5T, 5T-6T

• Baby wipes

• Prenatal vitamins*

• Baby travel systems*

Love the City is a day of celebration, free resources, and community. Let's partner with Mobilize love to meet practical needs, and show love to families in San Francisco. Registration is now open for Back-to-School Bash! We are looking for volunteers, please consider serving our city in this way.

As we welcome the new school year, let's utilize this opportunity to show love and appreciation to our local neighborhood educators. Join us as we help with back-to-school classroom preparation at Lawton Elementary School and Francis Scott Key.

SF Bible and Sunset Church are working to create a safe and fun space for children with special needs and their siblings. It will be an opportunity for these children to play while their parents/caregivers are provided with a bit of respite, potentially opening doors to share the love of Christ and the truth of the gospel with families.

Those interested in volunteering needs to review Special Needs Ministry's Handbook.
Volunteer requirements:

1. Church membership at Sunset

2. Undergo background check through Sunset

3. No experience working with individuals with special needs necessary

4. Various levels of volunteering (listed in the questionnaire) 

When: Begins August 18th

Our after-school program, is getting ready for the 2025 school year. This signup is for the Fall semester, which will take place from August 18th to December 19th. Homework support, linguistic and cultural enrichment activities, Bible lessons on Wednesdays, and opportunities to socialize are just some of the program's offerings.

Whether you have a specific skill set or simply a willingness to help, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.

You can assist in establishing an entertaining and captivating environment for children, enabling them to learn about the Bible and grow in their faith. Additionally, if you possess technical skills or are willing to learn, consider operating the camera for our online services. If you have any experience with music/singing, we encourage you to consider joining our worship team. Whatever your strengths or interests may be, there is a place for you on one of our teams.
